  • Excellent Resource!

I have worked with students for the past decade and axis is hands down my number 1 stop on any topic when talking with students. The push to ask good questions and keep the conversation going is a discipleship tool in itself. Axis continues to provide thoughtful gospel centered content. Thanks for all you do!

  • Smut is Smut & Sin is Sin

Axis is such a great resource for grandparents, like me, and I learn so much each week; however, last week’s Half-Time show insights were shocking, especially from Irene who expressed very toxic empathy towards the Puerto Rican people ignoring the smut visually and verbally. Men grinding on men, etc, and I wouldn’t even want to type out the vulgar lyrics. Any of my Puerto Rican friends, religious or not, were embarrassed and offended by Bad Bunny’s performance. They even went on to say that i... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ask Axis: "How can I instill a good work ethic in my 14 year old son?"
Q: What should Eddie do when his son seems to put in minimal effort and becomes frustrated?
Acknowledge the developmental phase, model consistent effort without nagging, and shift the conversation to growth mindset—praising effort, framing challenges as opportunities to learn, and setting concrete, reasonable expectations while supporting outlets like sports and music. Also, discuss the balance between grace and effort within a faith context.
CT: Fear of God Hoodies, Freemasonry, and Social Media Gore
Q: Do you think clothing that says Fear of God will encourage people to actually Fear God?
The hosts frame the question as a value-based prompt for parents to discuss beliefs and personal identity with their teens, encouraging critical thinking about brand messaging and faith.
The Timeless Wisdom of the Rule of Life with Jen Pollock Michel
Q: What's a practical way to involve kids in shaping the rule?
Invite teenagers to contribute to the practices that matter to them and be willing to adjust; the rule should reflect the family's shared values and the individuals' strengths, not just parental authority.
The Timeless Wisdom of the Rule of Life with Jen Pollock Michel
Q: How can parents start without feeling like they're adding more to their plate?
Start with keeping regular company with God, name your givens, and design a flexible, collaboratively created set of practices that fit your family context, which actually frees you to say yes or no with clarity.
The Timeless Wisdom of the Rule of Life with Jen Pollock Michel
Q: What exactly is a rule of life and why is it timely now?
A rule of life is the practice of regular habits that sustain a faithful response to God's voice, designed to be intentional, communal, and adaptable to different family rhythms rather than a one-size-fits-all schedule.
