Brilliantly creative and engaging storytelling. The Critshow really has it all! They play a multitude of systems and the cast and guests have amazing chemistry. If you're looking for an expertly produced actual play podcast with an aggressively welcoming community, this is definitely for you!
Fantastic show. I really enjoy how they show a variety of game systems, and I've picked up some new games from them!
This was exactly the actual play show I was looking for. The cast are funny, clever and witty without being biting or snarky. Intelligent humor that’s still welcoming from a group of friends who care about each other. Plus they have the acting and improv chops to make their adventures come alive. And the editing is tight and perfectly paced.
Used to love this show. Booting my fave cast member for s7 and switching to an uninteresting game have left a bad taste in my mouth. Especially after how on-rails, rushed, and scripted season 6 felt. This show and cast just feel like background noise now. I’m bummed that maybe we’ve already passed the good era of The Critshow. Giving it one extra star because I really did like it though season 5. Maybe I’ll listen again if they switch it up, but probably not.
I have never in my life while playing, ran, listened, or watched a game where the dice have hated everyone so much. Absolutely love the show. On season 4 and almost to season 5. You are all amazing and I'm loving it! 13/10, do recommend.
