The guy who goes by “Dr. Z” really doesn’t have a clue. He makes Game of Thrones references when discussing great works of cinema, it’s so cringe. Please, you are not smart enough to be doing this, that’s not your fault but someone needs to tell you that!

  • Shallow insights

Listened to the episode on Personal Shopper looking for some perspective and found nothing resembling analysis or thoughtful critique.

  • Good podcast

This is definitely a great podcast. The hosts are knowledgeable and enjoyable to listen to. A large number of the films covered are less well known which is pretty unique.

  • Love this podcast!

If you like movies, you should listen to these guys. They normally review from the criterion collection but they also take some nice detours (like their Sandlot podcast, wich I loved). You'll have something cool to listen each thursday, so sobscribe.

  • Great commentary, great entertainment

The thing I like the most is their banter. It makes movies that I grew up watching take on a whole new life. Really refreshing!

  • Always an adventure!

I happen to know the guys from this show but even if I didn't this would still be my go to film podcast. Hilarious but not forced they take you on an adventure through movie buffland few have the guts to explore. They do not shy away from some of the most cringe worthy films ever made but balance it out with classics. Don't worry if you haven't watched some of the films, the hosts do a great job of making you feel like part of the fun! You won't be sorry!

  • Calling All Movie Buffs & Film Geeks

The Criterion Correction, hosted by Ed & Dr. Zed, is one part insightful commentary, one part nerdy banter, and one part wholesome snark. The selection of movies is vast and variable, with fair distribution of coverage for new releases and old favorites alike. Sometimes the movies are good - sometimes they're terrible - but no matter the film's shortcomings, the recap in the Criterion Correction is always a winner. So if you're looking for wit and intelligent humor combined with a healthy dose o... more
