  • Thank you Mr. co-Cheif Justices, May it please the court.

The court has sure pleased me.

I appreciate the continuous interesting conversations on matters of current events with educationally informative infusion of history.

Your guest are very much most informative and often new voices (as in I have not heard from before) often times the sene 20 people make the rounds from one pod to the next which in itself is not a bad thing. I find it refreshing to hear new perspectives and varied insights

    Thank you for sharing.

  • Why oh why the false narrative of part II

I would like to give you five stars for your educative colloquy on history politics and current events, however I deduct .5 star for Blumenthals to frequent interruptions of Wilentz & guest, acknowledging I’m listening at 1.5x-1.8x speed , but the other speakers often don’t get to continue/ finish their point.

I deducted a full star for “ adjourning the court” midway for what I image is a pay wall scheme or had to do with Apple podcasting administration possibly idk.

Have added your podcast to those I listen to frequently. Very much appreciated Sidney recently pointing out that dictator of Russia stands to be major beneficiary if current administration comes to rule over Greenland. Shankar Narayan has been one of very few in media (independent or otherwise) to point out that sea corridor passing from Greenland’s southern border and extending around both Iceland and th UK has always been a critically important strategic barrier to capacity of Russian to th... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Roberts Court Faces Reckoning in Major Trump Cases!!!
Q: What is the significance of the 'shadow docket' in current decisions?
The shadow docket allows the Court to issue orders or signal intent without full deliberation, enabling rapid influence over controversial issues like voting rights and immigration, which many see as bypassing traditional judicial process and increasing perceived partisanship.
Roberts Court Faces Reckoning in Major Trump Cases!!!
Q: Please set the scene for us as the court's about to issue decisions.
The speakers describe a term where the Court has the discretion to decide which cases to hear, a potential tilt toward outcomes favorable to the Republican Party and Donald Trump, and the importance of the shadow docket in shaping expectations for forthcoming rulings.
Trump's Hidden Billions Exposed...
Q: Who bears responsibility for oversight when funds operate outside traditional channels?
Congress has the primary constitutional duty to oversee, but enforcement is hampered by presidential immunity and lack of penalties for presidential misdeeds; journalists and whistleblowers become crucial to uncovering and verifying facts.
Trump's Hidden Billions Exposed...
Q: What would you look for if you were investigating these slush funds?
I would follow the money by tracing oil vessels, prices, operators, intermediaries, financial institutions, and ultimate beneficiaries, while demanding regular reporting to Congress and public disclosure even if some information is redacted for security. The focus would be on false representations and potential fraud.
Trump's DOJ Implodes as Trump & Blanche Risk It All!!!
Q: Devlin, could you explain what happened to the Public Integrity Section and why its fate matters for anti-corruption work at the federal level?
The Public Integrity Section was the crucial gatekeeper for anti-corruption prosecutions; its dismantling left a void where prosecutors in various districts pursue investigations that the section would have moderated or blocked, leading to a less coordinated, more politically exposed approach to corruption cases.
