  • Just a Heads Up

Your volume on YouTube is so low that it makes the show impossible to listen to; because, the advertisements come on at a startlingly loud volume in comparison. This is a problem for your entire station, not just your show. 5 stars but please address.

Edit: it seems like you fixed this. Thank you.

  • Guests Only

Ron & Pomp are great. Joe is difficult to listen to. Always sounds as if he’s one bad day away from a breakdown.

Now that Ron is gone, the show is just blah. Joe’s neurotic. Paul is boring. There are a few guests I listen to, and delete all the rest.

Ray Fittipaldo joins the show! What did he take away from the Steelers preseason opener if anything?
Q: What were your takeaways from Will Howard and Drew Allar's Steelers debut?
Howard and Allar looked comfortable, showed good footwork, and demonstrated the ability to run the offense with poise, though it was against a Packers defense operating with a vanilla game plan; their execution suggested potential with more development.
10 AM: Tyler Kennedy thought the Koivunen contract was a joke at first; does he believe in ghosts?
Q: Tyler, what has happened here with the Koivunen contract and the reaction around the league?
Tyler expressed that the contract shocked everyone, even him, stressing how unusual and unprecedented it is for a player with Koivunen's profile to receive such long-term, high-value commitment, and he acknowledged the ongoing debate about its upside versus risk.
8-6 Pomp & Joe Show FULL SHOW
Q: Who are your top three quarterbacks of all time, in order?
A rotation of picks with Brady, Montana, and then a third slot filled by various names like Elway, Manning, or Bradshaw depending on the speaker, illustrating a lively debate on legacy versus peak.
Bob Walk would be worried if Paul Skenes had a postgame outburst
Q: Bob, we heard comments earlier from Paul Skenes after his most recent struggle. And it just seems as though he's not getting angry. How are you when you struggled with a game and then had to talk to media?
The host asked about Skenes' reactions and emphasized that individuals have different temperaments; the guest suggested watching not just reactions publicly, but privately and highlighted that calm, controlled communication is often preferable for a pitcher dealing with adversity.
11 AM: Ray Fittipaldo gives a health update on IMax; Mike Tomlin had a good broadcasting debut
Q: What did you think of Mike Tomlin's debut as a TV analyst?
Ray expressed that Tomlin was tremendous, witty, and insightful, with standout moments like the Ronde Barber anecdote, and overall received a positive grade for the debut.
