  • Heroic

Not many today have the courage to declare Christ’s and the Church’s difficult teachings as an antidote to the ills of this world. Thank you Connor for doing so.

  • Off to a Great Start

Really enjoyed the Mom of 16 episode. As a Catholic homeschooling family (of not quite 16), many of the themes and rhythms were familiar. That faith and marriage are the pillars of the home is not surprising. It is clear that not only do the Gallaghers love one another but they truly like one another - hallmark of solid family life. Looking forward to future episodes.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Are We in the End Times NOW? How to Stay Faithful in the Current Crisis | John-Henry Westen
Q: Why do you believe we are in end times now, as opposed to earlier periods in church history?
The end times are evidenced by the rise of apostasy, doctrinal confusion in pontifical leadership, and the convergence of prophetic signals from Fatima and Garabandal, which together suggest an intensified spiritual struggle rather than a universal collapse. There is a sense that signs and warnings are aligning with historical prophecies, prompting urgent renewal and fidelity among the faithful.
Fr. Matthew Kauth | St. Joseph: The Last of the Patriarchs
Q: Was Joseph married previously or did he have children before Mary?
He offers a thoughtful, cautious opinion, suggesting it is plausible that Joseph could have been widowed or have had a prior marriage, but emphasizes that the core point is that God provides a singular vocation for Joseph that centers on Mary and Jesus, and that hints about prior marriage remain speculative.
Fr. Matthew Kauth | St. Joseph: The Last of the Patriarchs
Q: Why did it take the church so darn long to develop a true devotion to St. Joseph?
Fr. Kauth explains that devotion to Joseph grew as the church recognized a need for a model of fatherhood and masculine virtue, especially in times of crisis, and that the saints and tradition gradually elevated him as the protector and patron of the Holy Family; the shift is described as a providential development rather than a sudden change.
Miracle or Fraud? The Remarkable Stories of the Stigmatists | John Clark
Q: Why are almost all stigmatists women?
It is speculated that women may relate more easily to the metaphorical 'bride' of Christ in the context of mystical union, aligning their experiences with the suffering of Mary.
Miracle or Fraud? The Remarkable Stories of the Stigmatists | John Clark
Q: What inspired you to write about the phenomenon of stigmatists?
Clark's inspiration came from his father's personal journey through suffering, which ultimately converged his understanding of suffering with broader theological implications.
