Great show for level headed fans that provides constructive criticism vs extreme all-or-nothing nonsense of most sports talk radio.
Justin and Carter have helped make the Cavs an even bigger source of joy in my life for many years now, and they are just simply the best. Though I’m never able to catch the live recordings, seeing a new episode pop up in my feed and listening to it on a walk with the dog is the perfect way to recap what’s been going on.
I’ve been searching for something that scratches that itch, and The Chase Down Pod does that. Not only do they provide great Cavs content, they’re highly entertaining.
These guys overvalue selected statistics and tend to trust their “gut” take on opposing teams without having actually watched any tape. This results in a real lack of nuance in their takes and predictions. Furthermore, they are completely unable to acknowledge when they have made an error in judgment. In loss, these guys have displayed remarkable flexibility in bending the narrative to match their preconceived notions.
Great show.
