Q: What changes did you make after realizing it was a tricky album?
I added a few newer songs, tweaked the vocal lines on a cover, and trimmed some parts, effectively reshaping the album into a cohesive Tricky statement.
Tricky talks going "indie" on new LP, The Specials, 'The Fifth Element,' more
Q: This is your first album under the name Tricky in six years. Why now and why not till now?
Alan McGee encouraged a rapid, focused approach, pushing to turn the project into a full Tricky album rather than a side project, which gave the record a stronger identity and momentum.
L'RAIN talks new album 'Fata Morgana' and more
Q: How did you approach the idea of four albums early on, and did you intend this one to close the chapter?
It happened more or less naturally; collaborators suggested it felt like the end of a chapter, but I resisted at first and eventually embraced the possibility that something new could emerge from the process.
L'RAIN talks new album 'Fata Morgana' and more
Q: Did you really feel that this album is the final piece in a quadrilogy, and did you mean it that way?
Yes, I built a world with L'Rain and see these four albums as companions; I don't expect the project to end, but I wanted this chapter to feel like a complete arc that could lead into something new.
Swervedriver talk 'Raise at 35' tour, shoegaze revival & more
Q: Can you share a memorable moment from touring with Soundgarden and other 90s rock giants?
Adam recalls the unique venue dynamics, the moment of playing with Soundgarden in Philadelphia and the onstage exchange where he even played drums on a song, highlighting the camaraderie and intensity of those high-profile tours.
