  • Annoying

This podcast suffers from two fatal flaws:

    1) Altogether too much background music. It’s distracting and is a poor substitute for atmosphere that should come from the script, the actors, and the sound work. I challenge the production staff to listen to this without it and see what’s left over.

However, I can’t listen to more than one episode at a time, no matter how badly I want to binge, because of Alex Brown’s voice. Or, rather, delivery. Given that she plays one of the main characters, Etta, and speaks often, it’s a real problem.

In fact, her delivery is the only reason I don’t give The Bridge five stars.

She’s always talking in a dripping-with-sarcasm voice... more
