As a lifelong New Yorker - y’all be killing me with the New York slander, lol. But I still love y’all. The show is awesome and as a hip hop lover, it’s much appreciated. Keep up the good work!
Always enjoy listening to the podcast. Wish I could listen on Sat nights to the show but my schedule doesn’t currently allow. Only thing that would improve the podcast for me is if more music was part of the format.
For those in Austin TX that don’t know about this Saturday night gem on KUTX, please get near a radio and educate yourself ASAP. Two Austin-based hosts discuss hip-hop with a rich focus on history, culture, and the business side of the music industry. Episodes frequently explore ownership, rights, and the evolution of independent platforms, while also celebrating local scenes, live events, and cross-genre trends like Latin music's rise in hip-hop. A standout characteristic is the hosts' deep ties to Austin and Texas hip-hop, pairing sharp cultural analysis with trivia, guest insights from artists and industry practitioners, and a commitment to elevating underrepresented voices in the scene.
