  • Please adjust your volume

3/3/26 Malcolm Nance’s volume was normal, medium high, while Rick’s was soft. Very difficult and annoying since I don’t want to miss one word.

  • Stop it

For god's sake, these commercials are DEAFENING. They break in not just mid-speech, or mid-thought, mid-phrase or even mid-word, but mid-SYLLable. What is the point of that? Why are you abusing your listeners this way? I have heard that unbearably obnoxious, supercilious guy (wwwhat would you do/imagine) FOUR TIMES already in the latest Michael Wolff & it's only partway through! Why would you want to assure your audience feels harassed, & absolutely hostile toward your sponsors? Worse, the orig... more

  • INFURIATING Mid-Sentence Commercial Interruptions

Good to hear an (uncredited) Joy Reid. But this is the last time I tune in because of the INFURIATING practice of interrupting a speaker in MID-SENTENCE for a shrieky commercial. “Break[s]down” your whole pretentious critique of the capitalist habitus. (look that word up)

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How Texas Gerrymandering Is Upending the Midterms
Q: No, I just want to ask about what you think would be a fair immigration reform given how immigration has been reformed in the past and what you think should change?
Immigration has been a broken system for years and needs to be rebuilt with reforms that reflect the realities of rural Texas, including acknowledging the role of migrant labor, securing borders while enabling workers to participate in the economy, and implementing practical, humane policies that support working families.
Ashley Part 1
Q: What was the turning point that made you decide to speak out?
A cumulative realization of manipulation and fear within the MAGA ecosystem, plus the undeniable harm caused to others, led to the decision to reveal what happened.
Ashley Part 1
Q: Why should we believe you now after everything that's happened?
She emphasizes that belief should come from actions and transparency going forward, not just apologies, and stresses a commitment to making amends and proving her claims through future conduct.
Octagons & Oligarchs: Trump's Corrupt Birthday Bash
Q: How should Democrats respond to anti-establishment sentiment and inflation while maintaining credibility on policy?
The guests and hosts suggest connecting everyday problems—like cost of living and democratic rights—to policy proposals, showing tangible solutions (e.g., childcare, wealth taxes on second homes) and breaking down complex issues into relatable, practical terms to regain trust.
Octagons & Oligarchs: Trump's Corrupt Birthday Bash
Q: What did Jay Quo think about the White House octagon spectacle and the accompanying media narrative?
He framed it as emblematic of a broader strategy to maximize attention and shape public perception, noting that culture, media coverage, and perceived legitimacy are all intertwined in how the event is received and debated.
