We're nearing the end. Not that anyone expected it when 1989 rolled around, but hindsight is a bitch.

We' re continuing our series and talk about the FRG in the 1980s.

We're reviewing the final episode of the season. What I show!

We talk about the big event, of course, but there's also a huge discussion about the worth of flashbacks and we even add a little addendum about the new trailer for the third season of House of the Dragon!

  • Awful

Perhaps the least informed understanding of the Russian Revolution ever recorded. Given how bad it is, I cannot believe you on anything else now.

  • Dark Star

    Not a patron

But I do have 2 Darkstar theories:

1.) He did kill Myrcella and that her cousin/look-a-like was scarred so she could be sent back as Myrcella.

2.) He is actually Oberyn’s male Bastard and was Doran’s new snake he is hiding in the grass.

Darkstar betrayed Arianne to Doran then tried to force Doran’s hand to go to war by killing Myrcella and he succeeded in killing her but Doran wouldn’t let his plans be ruined by his daughter or Dark Star so a little girl must be scarred he still... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

BLAH 213 | Revenge in ASOIAF, with Grant Piercy (Heathen King)
Q: What does the nature of power mean in relation to revenge?
Power can turn desires for revenge into indiscriminate violence, as seen with various characters in the story.
BLAH Special - Fighting Trump, with Frank Spring
Q: If you would now be in charge, the dictator of the DNC campaign to elect Biden in 2024, what is your message?
Validate their experience and highlight that it is now paying to work in America again.
BLAH Special - Fighting Trump, with Frank Spring
Q: What do you exactly mean by 'it is too expensive to be a person'?
It's cost of living. It costs a lot for healthcare, childcare, and all other essentials.
BLAH Special - Fighting Trump, with Frank Spring
Q: Would your position be that this is essentially not Donald Trump's election to win, but Biden's to lose?
That is correct. Biden has huge structural advantages.
BLAH Special - Fighting Trump, with Frank Spring
Q: Is this a process that occurred naturally or is Trump actively facilitating that?
It's a symptom of a phenomena that was already happening in the Republican Party, and an accelerant of that.
