  • BUZZZZ!!!!

Nathan Limm has some awful takes, and the buzz/dings he plays during the tips are grating. It makes me wonder if he actually believes the things he says, or just says it as rage bait. Michael Burgess on the other hand is much more levelheaded.

LOL - clearly Nathan Lin doesn’t watch much NRL. He’s just been going on about “when is Nathan Cleary due back”. Nathan Cleary just played in the weekend and kicked a 2 point field goal - a golden point field goal - to win the game against the Dolphins in extra time. I wish I knew how to put a laughing emoji on here.

Also, someone please tell Michael Burgess to stop calling the Dolphins, ‘Redcliffe’. They are solely the Dolphins. They are the only club that does not have a geographical l... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 75: Warriors hooker Sam Healey on 11th hour call-up to face the Sharks
Q: Why did the team perform so well tonight against Cronulla?
The hosts attribute it to building on recent form, tight games, and a high-energy, high-intensity start that put Cronulla on the back foot, plus strong contributions from the New young core.
Episode 76: What it's like commentating the Warriors
Q: What makes live-commentary challenging and how do you handle pressure?
The pressure comes from the audience and the need for accuracy; staying calm, relying on preparation, and quickly correcting mistakes are crucial for maintaining credibility.
Episode 76: What it's like commentating the Warriors
Q: What is the game-day routine like for a commentator?
Preparation starts days before, with team lists memorized and notes ready; on game day it's mostly watching the monitor and talking to the pictures, with a lot of waiting before kickoff.
Episode 87: Warriors halfback Tanah Boyd opens up on getting dropped + was it a knock -on versus the Eels??
Q: I guess first of all, Tanah, how tough is that to take, given what was on the line and everything else?
It's really tough; we fought hard, showed effort, but with a few unfortunate moments and mistakes, we didn't get the result. We'll learn from it, address the lapses, and move on to the next game with a stronger mindset.
Episode 81: Why Warriors hooker Wayde Egan is shocked by Leka Halasima's outrageous match-winning try
Q: Were you screaming at the TV in those final moments?
Yes, Burgess and Egan describe a mix of shock and disbelief, with both acknowledging how rare such a finish was and how close Newcastle came to stealing it before Halasima's play.
