  • No different from Fox News

If you’re going to look at Fox News and write it off because ‘it’s so blatantly partisan’ or ‘it’s nothing but a propaganda channel’, can you really come back and listen to this? This is identity politics for the left - it’s not a news source. If you have a differing opinion, you’re not welcome. I personally despise Fox News, and this has similar vibes that there’s one opinion, and that is the only opinion.

  • Conscientious Jouranlism

“All the news, to keep you rooted.” Erica Cruz Guevara and company offer great local, Bay Area journalism. From the North Bay to the South, from the Town to the City, I hear stories that are trending like Oakland’s homeless or the recent South Bay ballot measure for a no-caste vote. But more often I hear journalism from the fringe, like environmental impacts at Richmond’s refinery, or LGBTQ+ issues. The journalism is imbued with local analysis from both sides of the fence, and eye toward equity ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

A Teacher Was Fired for Sexually Harassing Students. Why Did California Let Him Continue Teaching?
Q: Why did the state not revoke Agan's teaching credential after firing him in 2019?
Because the licensing process is governed by a committee that reviews cases on a case-by-case basis, and in this instance the state suspended his credential for seven days rather than revoking it, allowing him to teach elsewhere.
A Teacher Was Fired for Sexually Harassing Students. Why Did California Let Him Continue Teaching?
Q: What happened during the formal complaints and the subsequent hearing about Agan?
The board reviewed multiple complaints, heard from both supporters and critics, and ultimately found that Agan had sexually harassed students, leading to a finding that he was unfit to teach and should be fired, though the licensing agency's response was delayed and limited in transparency.
