  • You better love Jesus as much as animating

Wanna hear about animation? Cool! You will here. Every now and again. But you DEFINITELY will hear about their faith. Also the way they talk about themselves as if they’re the same person is off putting. It’s like twin talk but more annoying cause it’s recorded and usually over the guest. Bummer

  • Should be SO MUCH better

Well, I tried and tried - listen to 5-6 episodes each time waiting for it to get good or interesting or insightful. I’m a very passionate animator who loves every aspect of the art - there’s not an angle I don’t nerd out about. You’d think such seasoned pros as the Bancroft brothers could really bring something to the table, but you’d be wrong - zero insight. Maybe if they spent even half the time talking about their animation career experiences as they do telling us about their faith… we get it... more

  • A Gift to the Animation Community

Just listened to “Is 2D Animation Making a Comeback?”—a fantastic discussion. For anyone curious about the real answer to that question—beyond all the recent teaser articles—this episode is essential listening. Having Aaron Blaise and Nick Burch on with Tony and Tom made for a powerhouse of insight.

Everyone’s warmth, humor, and generosity really shine through.

Congratulations on 100 episodes—what a gift to the animation community!
