  • Chicken soup for the burnt out millennial soul

This isn’t your typical productivity podcast focusing on getting as much done as you can with ever-dwindling resources.

I love that it’s compassionate, easy to listen to, with actionable steps to make your life more livable.

  • Loved the most recent episode

This podcast has me stopping to write things in my Notes app because it’s so relevant. Tara has a way of reframing things that I thought I had ruminated on to death- and creating little cracks of light to get through burn out.

  • Keeping it real and honest - so relatable!

I first discovered Tara on LinkedIn when I really needed it! I was deep in burnout (way past denial). I instantly appreciated her wisdom & down to earth approach, while taking comfort in the cold, hard truth that we all need to hear from a friend who genuinely cares. I highly recommend following her on social media as you navigate your journey through burnout and seek better health, balance & fulfillment once you determine your own path to thriving vs. barely surviving. Thanks Tara! Keep up the... more

  • Loving this!

Setting goals that make you wanna jump out of bed!! Loved this episode! Something I talk about often is creating a life you’re obsessed to wake up for. Like this episode says, we set goals based so often on what we “should” want, but not what really lights us up!! Loved this episode - it’s the kind of one you have to listen to a second time and truly let it sink in.

Values-Based Recovery vs. the Burnout Hustle with Lisa Shubin
Q: How do you define being a 'balanced badass' in daily life?
A balanced badass celebrates and honors their unique strengths and individuality, choosing a path that aligns with their true self rather than conforming to others' expectations, while maintaining balance across work and personal life.
Values-Based Recovery vs. the Burnout Hustle with Lisa Shubin
Q: Can you describe the Ignite framework and how it helps people create lasting change?
The Ignite framework guides people through five stages: define a clear wellness vision, extract values, identify strengths, design actionable steps, and build resilience with accountability. This foundation enables flexible goal setting and sustainable progress rather than short-term, reactive changes.
Values-Based Recovery vs. the Burnout Hustle with Lisa Shubin
Q: What is getting lost when the focus is on fixing the job instead of understanding the person and their needs?
The episode emphasizes that focusing only on the job neglects the person's nervous system, values, and authentic needs. When you coach the person rather than just the position, you can address underlying stress responses, build self-knowledge, and shape work in a way that aligns with who they are, leading to more sustainable changes.
Why Being the Chief Everything Officer is Killing Your Career with Alli Murphy
Q: What moment made Alli realize she needed to change, and what did she do first to address it?
She realized the unsustainable cycle of being constantly connected and overworking, which affected her marriage and wellbeing. Her turning point was hiring external coaching through Better Up and a workplace well-being coach to start rebuilding boundaries and a healthier leadership style.
Effective Tools for Stress Reduction with Audrey Rose
Q: How do you define being a balanced badass in your own life?
Being a balanced badass means doing everything you want to do in life without stress, living your best life while maintaining stress-reduction techniques.
