This was one of the very first podcasts I picked up and one of a few non-fiction on my feed. The Babes (as they refer to themselves) are a nice mixture of scholary and aproachable. They know basically everything about Holmes and Doyle and the world of litterature of the time, but at the same time they are always aware that many of the people listening to them might be new to Sherlock Holmes and have maybe only seen the adaptations. I want to like this, I really do. The problem is that I can’t begin to understand half of it because the audio is simply horrible. It cuts in and out, making it nearly impossible to hear, especially when the classical music playing in the background. Interviews are sometimes conducted in restaurants, obviously without a proper microphone and the background noise of clinking classes overpowers the actual interview. The idea is great, but the execution desperately needs some work.
