Thank you so much for this wonderful, evidence-based podcast with relevant and topical information eagerly sought by new and experienced parents alike! Even for experienced healthcare providers in the maternal-infant field. I am a nurse practitioner hospitalist in the Mother Baby Unit at Mount Sinai in Toronto. We used to work together, Afif, when I was an LC in the postnatal clinic. So nice to find this resource!

  • Highly recommend

This podcast is fantastic and full of the most helpful information. All new parents struggle at some stage or another and the topics covered are great; they certainly brought me peace of mind when I was up at 2am wondering if I’m alone and doing things right! I also took my daughter to Afif for her 6 week check up after she was born and he was brilliant. Everyone should give this a listen!

  • Top tier parenting info

I absolutely love this podcast from a parenting perspective but I listened even before I had my baby as I am a GP nurse. I recommend it to the parents I meet in work. Afif and Anne have a wonderful calming way about them and their years of experience and knowledge provides parents with evidence backed education. We live in a time where info online can be overwhelming and incorrect but you can be confident here listening to health experts and their fabulous range of guests.

125: Clare McKenna on Finding Your Version of Wellness (Without the Pressure)
Q: So Clare, tell us what wellness means to you right now and what you do personally?
Wellness for me is about movement, a slow, unrushed morning, asking for support when needed, and choosing practices that feel sustainable and joyful rather than punitive. It also involves listening to my body through interoception and adapting as life changes, from parenting to perimenopause.
121: Pregnant With Cancer: Emma’s Story of NICU, Chemotherapy, and Change
Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself and what happened after you were diagnosed during pregnancy?
Emma shares that she had two children, was pregnant with Rory, and discovered a neck swelling that led to a cancer diagnosis. She explains how the pregnancy continued to progress while she faced treatment decisions, balancing care for her newborn with her own health.
122: Fear Less with Dr David Coleman: Are We Raising Anxious Kids?
Q: What is the Fear Less framework and how should parents start applying it?
The framework combines understanding physiology, CBT principles, and gradual exposure; start by reducing physiological arousal, then address thinking, then encourage action and reflection.
122: Fear Less with Dr David Coleman: Are We Raising Anxious Kids?
Q: How do you determine when anxiety becomes a problem that needs intervention?
