  • Great for students

This podcast has been great for learning about the AA profession as a whole. When learning about this career it’s easy(ish) to find resources that address the hard skills of the job, but much harder to learn about the various other things related to being an AA. This podcast talks about many things such as managing stress, how to leverage this profession to benefit personal lives, and the future of the profession. I have enjoyed learning about mindfulness, the AA legislation process, and hearing... more

Q: How did you get on the volunteer service committee?
I emailed a young lady who was a student at the time and said I was interested in volunteering. She reached out to me six months later and said she needed help.
Season 3 Finale: Reflections and Interviews LIVE from AAAA 2024
Q: What advice would you give to those first year students who are transitioning into their second clinical year?
At every rotation, basically have one goal set in mind that you want to accomplish by the end of that rotation. It's very helpful to have one goal at a time and really strive to meet that goal.
Season 3 Finale: Reflections and Interviews LIVE from AAAA 2024
Q: What advice would you give to the first years about to become second years?
It is okay if you don't get intubations right away, or if your preceptor has to step in and take over. It's definitely about patient safety, so don't feel bad at all if you can't get something right.
LIVE REPLAY: On Leadership, Professional Growth and the Naysayers ft. AAAA 2024 President Danny Mesaros, CAA
