The theists who call in are extremely valuable to me. I am an atheist and don’t understand how someone can ignore the weirdness of religious beliefs and silence their own capacity for thought. To me, it’s an amazing bit of mental gymnastics. Through these conversations, I may be getting a sense of how they think.
I am often surprised by how poorly most Christian callers understand their own scripture, even as they quote from it with great confidence. They seem to have never read it for themsel... more
I really used to love this show. However, lately the there are less and less interesting episodes. It’s pretty much the same content and concept each week. The hosts use the same logical fallacies to justify their claims for Trans gender issues that Christian apologetics use to support their theological claims. The hard truth approach used by former hosts like Matt Dillahunty is gone. An atheist community would not be interested in political issues or even insinuate its opinions one way or ... more
The hosts have 0 self-control. They cut off callers left and right. They go on tirades for several minutes at a time, one after the other. They’re already generally doing 2 v 1 or even 3 v 1, so the room for the caller to make their case is minuscule to non-existent. And the dozen or so ads placed mid-conversation make the discussions, which do have interesting nuggets here and there, nearly unlistenable. Like the sound of your own voice a little less and scale back the ads.
30.07 was practically unlistenable with at least a dozen ad breaks (in the middle of calls!). Scale it back, guys

So cool, man ! Man, you gotta say man more often, man. It’s not annoying or anything, man

A lively, debate-driven show that centers on philosophy, cosmology, religion, and skepticism, often through interactive call-ins. Regulars challenge callers on proofs for God, morality, and the nature of belief, while guests push back with deism, science, and ethical discussions. The format blends rigorous argument with approachable explanations, community updates, and practical guidance for discussing beliefs with others. It's likely to appeal to listeners who value critical thinking, public policy context around religion, and a no-nonsense conversational style. A standout aspect is the sustained focus on logical argumentation across a wide range of religious and metaphysical topics, frequently featuring a rotating cast of seasoned hosts a... more
