I love John’s work so I was looking forward to this interview - but the way this episode has been formatted I found to be frustrating. There are far too many lengthy moments where the interviewer is pontificating and going on unnecessary tangents. I’m here to listen to John so I found myself frequently skipping forward to listen to him.
Thoughtful and compelling content
The Architecture of Contemplation delves deftly into diverse nooks and crannies as it navigates - and spearheads - discourse on the art and science of rest, respite and contemplation. Hardeep’s interview style envelopes the listener within an absorbing coccon of conversation, creating a space for them to - themselves - contemplate and rest. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve heard so far, and look forward to more.
I really enjoyed this episode! Working in the NHS, I was able to relate to a lot of what had been said. What really struck home was the notion of reciprocity of kindness. So simple yet difficult to always put into practice, and not just at work but also at home with friends and family or even strangers! Also working alongside patients and taking away that hierarchy is something to consider in my own practice. Thank you!
Love it!!
