The Jaywalkers sound as though they come from Knob Lick, Kentucky. In fact this talented bluegrass trio comes from Frodsham, just off the M56. You’ll want to put their kitchen session through loudspeakers next time you have a barbecue. In fact, play ... more
If the New Orleans demigod Professor Longhair had played guitar instead of piano and his voice had sounded like a cross between Lyle Lovett and Lowell George, he would have been a dead ringer for Greg Brice, my kitchen session guest in this podcast. ... more

Almost five months since the last one. Is everything alright?
Loved Andy’s broadcasts since I first heard his trip up the Niger to visit Ali Farka Toure, on BBC R4 in the 80s. If you have never heard it, find it on the internet.
Great to hear him again, and and as the title says, he plays bloody good music, heard 28 episodes so far and hardly a track I did not enjoy in over 48hrs of broadcasts.
Shame it does not appear to be possible,e to hear the subscribed full episodes on Apple music, just the shorter free ones. So I have to listen on Podbean.
The best music podcast out there: a wide spread of roots / rockin' / folk / world music, and not one duff track, not one minute of glib commercialism. Plus specially recorded live sessions! Enjoy - then treat yourself to the (marvellous, of course) second half. Thanks, Andy!
