Great podcast
Love the podcast, I work for the Montana DNRC in eastern Montana and was recently listening to episode 78 with Tim from JK boots and you said there’s only two causes of wildland fires, humans and lighting. I would also like to add coal seams, we get several starts a year caused by underground burning coal seams up here. I’m also repping JK boots, best boot I’ve ever worn!
Just listened to episode 99 and as someone who recently resigned after 7 years with the FS, everything in this episode rang true. Keep up the good work and keep the politicians feet to the fire it’s the only way we will get Wildland Firefighters the things they need and deserve.
I really enjoy the podcast. Great content and some really interesting people. I’m a structure guy and really enjoy hearing the stories and perspectives people have in the wildland community. My only knock is that I would like to hear more about guests detailed personal experiences on the fires they’ve worked. Or even tell the stories of the fires that really impact how wildland fires are fought today. Other than that, keep up the good work
