Dr Spoons and Wheezy do a phenomenal job summarizing the books they read without making the episode feel dry or drag on. I’ve listened to a number of their episodes and I laugh every single time! more
Maybe they’re fantastic when (if?) they actually talk about the book, but I’ll never know because I didn’t make it that far. I listen on my work commute, and I by the time I got to work (over 20 minutes), the book hadn’t even been mentioned yet! It was just random chatting, nothing even slightly related to the novel.
I love these gals! I am getting into reading now as an adult and this was my first podcast experience. I am so glad I ventured into podcasts to get reviews on books rather than some bait clicking person on YT. more
Once they start talking about the book, the episode is great! But it can take them 45-50 minutes of unrelated talk and then only 25-30 minutes of book talk. more
Only time I’ve ever been thrilled that it’s Monday morning
