  • AI Generated

I was hoping for more but that fact that this is an AI podcast and called “Real Talk” is crazy. So disappointed in this as Rae markets herself as authentic and real, I mean it is a constant market campaign on social media. Another review spoke about the articles being AI generated as well. I am not sure if that is true but I would hope not. Because of this, I am unsubscribing from all emails, and all things TDI, because Teachers Deserve authenticity.

  • “Real” Talk? Nope

Total scam. I certainly don’t begrudge any self-styled influencer the chance to make an honest living, but the key word here is “honest.” And that’s the kicker: every episode of this real talk podcast that’s supposedly “hosted by the Teachers Deserve It Team” is, in fact, entirely AI-generated using NotebookLM. ***The hosts are not even real people.*** And the fact that this is never once acknowledged on any of the episodes or descriptions is really kind of shameful. Each episode starts with a q... more

The Math Teacher Who Made Me Love Math (And Why That Still Matters)
Q: How can I balance family responsibilities with teaching when personal life feels overwhelming?
Lead with open conversations with leadership, explore flexible roles or coverage, use pre-prepared resources to reduce planning load, and prioritize personal boundaries to protect time for family and recovery.
Executive Functioning for Educators with Sue Thompson
Q: How can teachers support a student who seems overwhelmed and stuck without turning into a constant executive functioning coach?
Provide clear visual supports, a defined workspace, and a predictable routine; encourage ownership by using 'owners' or captains at the table to monitor progress; and set up simple, scalable aids like a turn bin and cue cards to empower the student to ask for help when needed.
Executive Functioning for Educators with Sue Thompson
Q: Who should we start with in addressing this student's needs for executive functioning support?
Start with establishing a personal space for organization, such as a dedicated 'den' with visual cues and a turn-taking system, then gradually layer in reminders, check-ins, and ownership so the student can seek help when stuck rather than relying on a coach every day.
