  • AI Generated

I was hoping for more but that fact that this is an AI podcast and called “Real Talk” is crazy. So disappointed in this as Rae markets herself as authentic and real, I mean it is a constant market campaign on social media. Another review spoke about the articles being AI generated as well. I am not sure if that is true but I would hope not. Because of this, I am unsubscribing from all emails, and all things TDI, because Teachers Deserve authenticity.

  • “Real” Talk? Nope

Total scam. I certainly don’t begrudge any self-styled influencer the chance to make an honest living, but the key word here is “honest.” And that’s the kicker: every episode of this real talk podcast that’s supposedly “hosted by the Teachers Deserve It Team” is, in fact, entirely AI-generated using NotebookLM. ***The hosts are not even real people.*** And the fact that this is never once acknowledged on any of the episodes or descriptions is really kind of shameful. Each episode starts with a q... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Done Before You Leave with Amy Storer
Q: How do you approach sharing new tools with teachers without overwhelming them?
She emphasizes monthly, optional topics, practical demonstrations, and choosing tools that fit existing workflows; the goal is to provide bite-sized, actionable steps that teachers can actually finish during campus visits.
Done Before You Leave with Amy Storer
Q: What are you really leaning in and using AI for, and how is that helping you be more efficient and effective in your job?
Amy describes building a personal AI workflow to automate repetitive tasks, freeing time for direct support of teachers and students, and using AI to streamline routine administrative work rather than replacing human interactions.
Building a School Where Every Kid Belongs
Q: Does anyone else just sit in the car in their driveway after school? Is this normal or should I be worried?
Josh counsels grounded, non-shiny advice: find happiness where you are, avoid chasing negative content online, and actively pursue campus-level opportunities and connections, because the right fit and supportive leadership are what sustain educators.
Designing Classrooms That Fit the Student
Q: Why do educators feel guilty on snow days, and how should they handle time off?
Educators often feel compelled to work because the work never feels finished; the guidance is to set a stopping time, protect personal time, and allow oneself to rest and recharge, using snow days for restorative activities rather than extra planning.
Designing Classrooms That Fit the Student
Q: What does it take to be good at district leadership roles like safety and HR?
It requires shifting focus from one classroom or building to a district-wide vision, having hard conversations with peers, and leading with prevention, training, and consistent expectations rather than just paperwork.
