I enjoy the narration style, but I sure wish you didn’t do so many super short narrations. I listen at work and having to constantly fiddle with my phone because a story is only 10 or so minutes, is really annoying.
I’ve been a big fan of horror short story podcasts (e.g. Otis Jiry’s Scary Stories Told in the Dark) for a while, but sometimes I’m not in the mood for a fright, so I was looking for a fantasy version of that format when I stumbled on this absolute gem. The story selection is of the highest quality, Chris’s personality is warm and inviting, his delivery and voice acting are top notch, and he gets right to the story with no fluff or ads. The icing on the cake is that this podcast is still running... more
I absolutely love this podcast I listen to it over on Spotify and have been listening since October 2021 and I’m just overly in love with this show. My favorite series is the one written by his wife. I’ve even been inspired to write a short story based on two characters from the first book and look forward to soon submit it in hopes that it’s worthy to be on the podcast. I’m still behind on the episodes but I love feeling like I’m binge listening to the podcast. I hope Chris continues to do this... more
This is a fun podcast that is a delightful escape from the daily grind. Chris is a talented narrator who has worked hard from his early shows (which were fine!) to now where his accents and narration pace are just terrific. He clearly enjoys reading these stories - and I enjoy listening to the diverse stories he provides.
Fantastic podcast for quick sci-do that’s classic minus all the PC stuff. Really well done with great stories.
