The interactions between treatment heroes and artists in distress creates a wonderful podcast structure. Oftentimes, audiologists focus on treating hearing problems after they’ve already developed, but preventing them from happening in the first place is just as important, and this is the first audiology podcast I’ve listened to that focuses on that. I really enjoy every new episode that comes out and find it to be extremely thorough and informative on patient experiences.
What a great show! Frank gives guests space to share their sometimes difficult experiences with their hearing health. I’m always struck by how guests shine light on their processing of these experiences and how they even come to appreciate their grief and loss brought on by hearing health issues. It’s also got all these great tidbits on tinnitus, hyperacusis, and sound/music exposure in every episode. The show is a definite must for audio/music/health folks.
