  • Excellent- but please sort out the sound

Very enjoyable show. My only complaint is the sound quality….even at full volume most of the episodes are difficult to hear. Pretty sure it’s the recordings and not my phone

  • Essential listening for any comedy fans.

Open miccer only a 18 months in (don’t gig enough due to the ol’ mortgage and wife combo) but the insight of this has stopped me in my tracks. The pinnacle has been the latest episode with Bob Mills. The closet I’ll get to being in a green room. 😀 more

  • Wonderful Trip Down Memory Lane

As fans of both these excellent stand ups , I loved this honest and amusing discussion with Kevin Day covering the present stand up world and reflecting on the wonderful 1990s when these two would smash the clubs! Have listened to all of the Takes on Life now and love them. My 40 mins daily long dog walks have become an enjoyable 60 minute stroll with a smile on my face - def worth a listen😁

  • Amusing and thought provoking in equal measures!

Takes on life, the books (so far - volumes 1 & 2 with more promised) are interesting collections of short anecdotes of the world according to author, Dominic Holland. Heart-warming, funny, thought provoking and yet also relatable, they touch on a wide variety of subjects. But how could these quirky observational stories possibly be made into podcasts? The answer is ‘brilliantly’ when it’s Dominic Holland doing it!! more
