  • Straight to the point from biblical standpoint. This podcast is Gold!

I can’t emphasis how helpful this podcast has been. It’s refreshing to hear a Christin leader be so bold and unapologetic about very important issues these days!

  • One of the best out there

I love these podcasts. They are so full of rich Biblical truth and applications for a Christian's daily life. Also, I actually appreciate how most of them are on the shorter side when compared to "normal" podcast lengths. It makes them very digestible and easy to go back and listen for a quick reminder/ re-listen!

Talking Points

Spiritual Weariness: Why You Feel Spiritually Tired and What Scripture Says to Do
Q: What sort of exhortation do you give that person in the moment when they are weary in a difficult marriage?
Stay in the marriage, look Godward, remind yourself that you exist to please the Lord, and pursue obedience in love as unto Him, trusting that due season will come if you do not give up.
Spiritual Weariness: Why You Feel Spiritually Tired and What Scripture Says to Do
Q: Yeah, what do you do about these things?
Find your strength in worship and in looking to the Lord, cultivate faith, and remind yourself of your ultimate purpose to please Him rather than seeking relief from circumstances.
Is Spiritual Abuse Real?
Q: Where do you think this might be located within a church context if it really does exist in your mind?
Spiritual abuse is misuse of pastoral authority that contradicts Scripture; it is evaluated through Scripture and the church's discipline processes, with emphasis on shepherds acting as examples rather than lords over the flock.
Is Spiritual Abuse Real?
Q: So let's just talk about that just for this podcast today. Do you think, first of all, this concept of spiritual abuse actually exists to begin with?
The concept exists in tension with proper biblical ecclesiology; true abuse is when leadership oversteps their God-given authority, but many criticisms arise from a misunderstanding of shepherding versus domineering behavior. The remedy is biblical terminology, humility, and clear accountability within the church.
Is It Loving to Separate From a Sinning Christian?
Q: Do you invite them to Thanksgiving where everybody is there?
It depends on the nature of their disobedience; you can maintain contact but should avoid compromising situations.
