David and Michael are a lot of fun and they enliven all the stories they share with their enthusiasm. It’s a great format for a podcast because you get to learn about stories you probably wouldn’t seek out otherwise in the company of friends. I really like when they read stories directly from the text, but even when it’s just a summary, it’s fun to hear their take on it, which is always more lively than just reading a summary yourself. I love this is so much I can’t believe this podcast isn’t talked about more! Thank you guys for all the effort you put into this!
Been a fan of Michael Santell since Super Couch Fighters. I’m glad I found this podcast. Keep up the great work!
Cane here from Michael's guest appearance on chilluminati and am glad to have your noises in my ear holes. I think my favorite episodes are the arabic tales, russian tales, and the earlier european tales when they were more curated. These boys are very entertaining, but seem to... more
This comedic spin on an informational podcast always leaves me feeling brighter and more bubbly than when I start. Both have a very great chemistry together and an excellent foundational understanding of improvisational comedy that always leaves to great japes and bits in-between compelling stories. With great variety of styles between the multiple types of storytellings, this is a podcast that has and will stand up to catching up or re-listening to.
Keep up the good work boys on the charming ... more

A humor-driven show where two comedians seamlessly blend improvised commentary with retellings of Bible stories, fairy tales, myths, and classic literature. Episodes pair lively storytelling with banter, pop culture riffs, and thoughtful takeaways on themes like wealth, power, fate, and human behavior, all delivered through rapid-fire humor and audience-focused engagement. The format consistently combines live narration, playful critique, and personal anecdotes, giving listeners both entertainment and new angles on familiar tales. A standout trait is the chemistry between the two hosts, which fuels a broad range of story choices—from ancient epics to modern parables—often featuring guest storytellers and a light, irreverent tone that remain... more
