Wow - I can’t recommend this podcast enough! It is much broader than the title implies - Julia really delves into important conversations about how we think about and define what a family is. She is such a kind and patient interviewer, but doesn’t shy away from difficult topics. As someone looking to create a family, I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of the podcast and the diversity of experiences.
BUT talking to my friend who recommended the podcast, our biggest criticism was it focuses on wealthy, upper middle class elites and can be unrelatable if you’re a normal person on an average income - for whom the cost of 3 rounds of IVF is probably twice your annual salary, and not covered by insurance.
