  • The Master of all Feeds

Great way to catch all the wonderful podcasts on the network, plus a few others! When I started listening to Trek.fm, I listened to the entire back catalogs of Literary Treks and Melodic Treks. Once caught up, I wasn’t sure what to dive into next. So I just picked up with every show where they were at! At some point I will go back and listen to all of The Orb. But there’s just so much good content coming out all the time now! It’s almost hard to keep up, but I do!

The Messier Side of Life
Q: What makes Sanctuary stand out in its handling of immigration themes?
The episode stands out by presenting immigration as a complex, morally gray issue rather than a simple rescue or happy ending, emphasizing cultural tension, potential futures, and the need for nuanced decision-making.
The Chekov Book
Q: Can you just talk a little bit about how the book came about?
Greg mentions that his last several novels were TOS and that he wanted to give Chekov a moment in the sun since he hadn't done much with him.
Go with the Flow

By getting the final draft scripts early and mapping out character arcs and story threads.
Where on the Ship Is La'an Sandiego?
Q: What are your thoughts on the cold open and its necessity for the episode?
The cold open seems unnecessary and distracts from the main narrative, as it does not contribute meaningfully to the storyline and feels gimmicky.

La'an shows significant growth, presenting herself as open to new experiences and adventures, which aligns with her backstory and recent developments.
