New Year, same Standard. We're kicking things off with a scream, thanks to a little Indie horror game: From the Darkness. It proved to be both spooky and divisive. Find out what we thought and who screamed the loudest.

So Billy is the very definition of a terrible podcaster. Nothing worse than listening to someone complain about a game because they refuse to learn how to play it. His constant whining and glib remarks gives him such a bad look and unfortunately makes this podcast unlistenable if you’re a fan of Baldur’s Gate 3 (which everyone else in the world is). He can’t be bothered to learn controls, read a map, listen or engage with any character beyond the one he wants to bone. He’s missing everything bec... more
Started listening for Elden Ring (initially played Lies of P and then something clicked…I finally understood how to play a souls or soulslike game. It rewards the curious player! So after completing that game I decided to returned to Elden Ring). Very glad I did as I found this podcast.
So now in late 2023 - I went back to the initial episodes and it has been fantastic! It’s like having 4 companions to match pace with, laugh at things, find out information you didn’t know and they do a great job... more
I started listening to Standard Edish when I started playing TOTK. In my circle there aren’t many to discuss the game with. So listening to this podcast and it’s format of friends just hanging out and discussing in a “book club” style is what I didn’t know I needed. Hope this show lasts a long time
Such a fun and funny podcast, I look forward to every episode!
Fun podcast to be listened to away from young ears. I enjoy the standard editioners’ humor and gameplay tips. I’ll never be able to look at Purah the same! My new podcast friends peer pressured me into tackling the Fire Temple, which intimidated me when I first arrived. But if Link didn’t take on the challenge, I’d need to skip that standard episode and miss out on the jokes! Plus Yunobo wouldn’t stop bugging me. Chill out Goro. Standard mission accomplished!
