  • useless and boring

fails to actually critically analyze anything. every episode is just a word salad of non-specific blabber from one of the T’s executives

  • Perfect representation of the MBTA

Tone-deaf (adjective) - Having or showing an obtuse insensitivity or lack of perception particularly in matters of public sentiment, opinion, or taste

Use in a sentence: The MBTA is still completely tone-deaf to the actual concerns of its riders.

  • Informative and optimistic to a fault

I love listening to this podcast I’ve learned so much about the MBTA. However this is an ad rapped up in an informative podcast. I’m not saying it’s not happening but those questions get sidelined in the convo. After 5 podcasts were t... more

How the MBTA Handles Climate Change
Q: Could you tell us a little about your current roles and backgrounds?
Kat Eshel describes herself as Senior Director of Climate Policy and Planning overseeing a team focused on long-range climate policy and organizational sustainability; Caroline Bean, Director of Climate and Sustainability Planning, works on the climate planning team and brings local-government and public-sector experience to transit-focused climate work.
Transportation Justice with Reggie Ramos
Q: How did you end up at the MBTA and what was your path there?
After a pause in government work due to administration changes, I pursued international opportunities, then studied in Cambridge and learned about an opening at the T. I cold-applied and transitioned into a role focused on pilots and innovation, which eventually led me to the MBTA in Boston. The trajectory combined advocacy experience, policy exposure, and a readiness to apply lessons from global transportation to local challenges.
Perry's Ferries with David Perry
Q: What does your role entail and why was now the right time to kind of bring that position into being?
Perry explains that his role involves overseeing the evolution of ferry services, which had previously been managed alongside commuter rail operations, emphasizing the need for dedicated focus as ferry operations expand and gain popularity.
Perry's Ferries with David Perry
Q: Can you walk us through your journey and what led you to this new role at the MBTA?
David Perry describes a fascinating career path starting from Maritime school, transitioning from sailing deep-sea tankers to engineering consulting, before joining the MBTA eight years ago, where he initially focused on commuter rail projects before taking his current role.
World Cup Playbook with Erika Mazza
Q: So what does the planning itself look like?
Erika explained the setup of various committees and the extensive planning processes, emphasizing the collaboration required to ensure efficiency for both the World Cup and daily commuters.
