Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Gollum, Black Frodo & Mexican Legolas w/ Jeremiah Watkins | Lord of the Rings: Two Towers | SOS VHS
Q: Why should someone watch for the first time if they're like, hey, this is not my thing?
Because it's such a great balance of storytelling with characters and action sequences that delve into all the elements of Middle Earth and set the stage for the epic narrative.
90s Action Movies Hit Different | Eraser Review w/ Joey Bragg & Taylor Williamson
Q: Why does this movie speak to both of you?
Both guests share it holds personal significance, being their first R-rated film and a nostalgic representation of 90s action movies.
Can't Be Woke in Dreamworld, Inception w/ Gilbert Galon
Q: Gilbert, why should somebody watch this movie or re-watch Inception?
It makes you think about dreaming yourself, what are all these deeper core meanings of some of these visions you have.
Kassem G Never the Same After Watching Boogie Nights | #63 | SOS VHS
Q: Doc, as a first time watcher, what did you get out of the movie at just first watch, a general feeling from the movie, from the characters, how it was shot, the direction, the acting, all of it?
I would describe it as, damn, that's a good question. It's a heavy, heavy movie that invokes a lot of feelings because of how dark it gets, even as it starts fun and indulgent.
