I’m continuing my hike along the Elk Pass Trail in Kananaskis Country, close to BC border. It’s a quieter and cooler climate than I’m used to, but the crossbills, wrens, thrushes and more don’t seem to mind the weather.

  • Thank you Rob

My favourite podcast. The Kananaskis recordings have been a real treat. I haven't been able to get to the mountains in recent years due to illness and they sound like home!

  • Rare

It’s a rare person who can pull off a podcast like this one. Rob Porter takes up only as much space as he needs to and lets the birds singing their songs be the main characters. I wish I knew how Rob gets such a clean recording as he walks through the landscape—it’s an enviable skill. In the fall and winter when you miss the spring birdsong, listening to this podcast is a wonderful place to be.
