Wasn't expecting much but this really surprised me. The whole cast is memorable but there's something about how they handle the mythology that feels fresh - like they actually researched this stuff instead of just throwing random fantasy elements together. I’m hooked on this series, not just for the dynamic world-building and sound, but because I absolutely love Bill. He’s such a relatable, imperfect character who somehow stumbles his way into this insane magical war. His reactions feel so real, and I found myself rooting for him the whole time. The mix of history, fantasy, and these flawed, human moments is what makes this special
This show is wild, in the best way. It’s like if Spielberg and Jim Henson teamed up to make an ’80s fantasy movie, and someone turned that into an audio drama. It’s funny, weird, emotional, and way more epic than I expected. Highly original. And it snowballs, by the time you hit episode 6, you won’t want to put it down. Honestly, this thing needs to be a movie.
