  • Mind your words Gus

Until Gus apologises for the way he talked to Michael Chammas, I am done with this podcast. He pleads his innocence on the fact he didn’t use the exact wording that is put to him but you don’t have to be a genius to see what was happening. Gus was not genuine in his actions or the way spoke, he was caught out and then tried to belittle someone to get the upper hand. Understand the majority of NRL followers don’t trust Gus anymore. You did what you needed to do for the Dogs but treated everyone e... more

  • A waste of time.

I was trying to figure out why this is largely unlistenable. It finally twigged, it’s because Gus is dishonest and basically a politician / propagandist.

He knows footy better than anyone, but is covered in politics and spin that you can’t trust him even when he digs down that deep.

Sadly, this is a nostalgia pod at best. Dishonest propaganda primarily.

  • Gus is a flog

Using your platform to defend a player who did the wrong thing is an absolute farce. Reed had a pretty big open target with a defenseless player on the ground and still shouldered him in the head - give me a break. Will never listen to Gus ever again. Flog.

#AskGus: Advice, Minor Premiers & Cleary–Luai’s Rise
Q: Is there ever going to be a way though that you can make that fair across the board, given there's so many variables?
No, the competition's draw will never be completely even, especially with the number of teams.
Gus not ruling out shock Grand Final clash + Tries and Moments of 2025
Q: Can the Broncos cause some damage in the finals?
Of course they can. They're a brilliant football team loaded with talent, and if they can play conservatively without losing their flair, they can be very dangerous.
Gus not ruling out shock Grand Final clash + Tries and Moments of 2025
Q: If you could fast forward five to 10 years, where do you see the game's biggest threats and opportunities?
The biggest opportunities are on the international stage. We play too much club football and need to prioritize representative football to enhance the overall growth of the game.

Q: What was the single toughest leadership decision you've made and what criteria did you use to ensure it was the right one to get the club back up?
Gus emphasized the importance of staying true to his beliefs and securing the right people in key positions at the club for its success.
Six Tackles Live thanks to TAB
Q: If you had to pick five players from the 90s to drop into today's game, no training or prep, who'd still dominate, who would they be?
Gus named five players: Alan Langer, Laurie Daly, Glenn Lazarus, Bradley Clyde, and Brad Fittler, highlighting their strong impact even today.
