Have you heard anything about the nrl quietly informing teams during the origin period that they were pulling back on handing out so many six again penalties - and that perhaps the change has had a negative impact on Manly and a positive one on the bulldogs - or had you noticed the change yourself?

  • Asks the questions others won’t

Loved his podcast with Michael Chammas. He has asked questions that the people want to hear. No agendas and cheerleading like other podcasts that got a free trip to PNG. Well done to Chammas for not shying away. Keep it up Kenty

    I miss Paul from Foxtel

I am listening to old shows as incredibly informative. No one else shares how the clock is made. I want more than just the time. I would even pay small subscription if it helps Paul financially.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Benji Pressure, PNG Tax-Free Fallout & Six Again Injury Fears | Ask Kenty
Q: Kristov 4202 asks who will win a Premiership first, the Bears or the Titans?
The Titans appear closer to premiership contention in the near term, but the Bears have potential with key signings; overall, the Titans are ahead in current strength, though this could change as seasons unfold.
Benji Pressure, PNG Tax-Free Fallout & Six Again Injury Fears | Ask Kenty
Q: Sheepstations asks about the favorite player and Alfie rank; where does Alfie rank for you and why?
Alfie (Alan Langer) is top shelf; his impact on the game, charisma, and leadership made him a beloved figure, and his ability to read the game and influence teammates places him high in any ranking of greats.
Benji Pressure, PNG Tax-Free Fallout & Six Again Injury Fears | Ask Kenty
Q: Puppet New Guinea's advantage in attracting players was questioned; could other clubs collaborate behind the scenes to block rivals from signing players first?
There's generally little honor among clubs in Rugby League; while one club might move toward behind-the-scenes collaboration, trust is fragile and such efforts rarely sustain, making coordinated blockades unlikely to hold long-term.
Benji Pressure, PNG Tax-Free Fallout & Six Again Injury Fears | Ask Kenty
Q: Sushi Leir asks what happens with players' market value when it comes to new contracts and Papua New Guinea's tax-free money; would PNG need to meet a higher market value if Penrith offers Nathan Cleary two million a year?
The market value is a rubbery figure, gauged against other players in similar positions and earnings. PNG tax-free money complicates the baseline, so clubs compare players rather than relying on a fixed, universal value; therefore, PNG money does not automatically set an official new value that must be matched.
Integrity Unit Spray, Bunker Panic & Luai PNG Recruitment | Ask Kenty
Q: Bowie asks, what are your thoughts on the NRL integrity unit? What is the biggest blunder and what is something they have done well?
The integrity unit is seen as under-resourced and reactive, lacking consistent policing of high-profile issues and negotiations, which undermines public trust; yet the unit is acknowledged for efforts like implementing a new rule after past issues, though many believe more proactive, verifiable actions are needed.
