  • Helpful but hard to listen to

I thought the information was often helpful but had to quit listening because the way she presented was so grating. It’s very stilted and slow, with emphasis in odd places as if she’s reading the script for the first time. I really wanted to like this but think I will need to stick to her written resources.

How to make progress when you don’t have much time
Q: What have you learned from applying baby-step thinking to big projects like the garden or house infrastructure?
The key is to do a brain dump of all steps, then break them into bite-sized tasks and just begin with the next step, understanding that a complex project unfolds through incremental progress rather than a single milestone.
How to make progress when you don’t have much time
Q: Could you give an example of what it looks like to break down into smaller chunks, a big project like sewing or starting a homestead?
We start by listing all the steps needed, then identify the smallest actionable task that can be done in five minutes, and continue with the next smallest step until the project is underway, recognizing that progress comes from stacking small actions over time.

The Secret to Getting Unstuck at Home (with Andrea Morello)
Q: Did they all seem small enough to be manageable or were any of the tasks themselves overwhelming? How is that kind of working through picking what to do?
They were generally quick and painless, but some felt like projects; the important part was that checking them off built momentum and provided a sense of accomplishment.
The Secret to Getting Unstuck at Home (with Andrea Morello)
Q: So inside Convivial Circle, we're wrapping up Baby Step Bingo, and this was your second Baby Step Bingo, right?
Yes, I did the one in August and the one in May, and it helped me focus on one thing at a time and get things actually done.
