  • The best

In a world where it’s hard to get authentic sports talk., these guys deliver. It’s become my favorite sports show and is incredibly enjoyable. You can tell these guys care deeply about what they do and the listening experience is second to none.

  • Kudos and Suggestion

Really miss the good ol days when Smoaky regularly interviewed high school coaches and players throughout the Central Texas area and coverage of high school football in general. Your coverage of Baylor football is exemplary and peerless, but listening to the high school coaches and how they develop young men on and off the field was inspiring to me as a fan. Coverage of college football teams outside the Big 12, not so much. Wish you would reconsider for the 2023 football season.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Nicki Collen Discusses how Baylor Women Found a Way on the Road
Q: Do you get enough support, NIL-wise, to compete with what everybody else has that's trying to win a national championship?
Baylor is competitive but needs to grow in the external NIL space to truly compete.
Nicki Collen Discusses how Baylor Women Found a Way on the Road
Q: Do you see women's basketball now getting deeper and deeper, and has NIL started to affect it yet in your opinion?
NIL has impacted women's basketball by potentially balancing talent across teams, as not everyone can get paid top dollar at the elite schools.
Nicki Collen Discusses how Baylor Women Found a Way on the Road
Q: When you lose a game at home like you did with Tech, do you look at it because of the Big 12 depth that you have to almost win twice on the road to make up for it?
You have to win more than twice to compete as losing a home game puts you in catch-up position for the rest of the season.
Brent Vigen Reflects on Montana State’s National Title Run
Q: Can you describe to people who have not experienced it, what that game is like?
It's intense and divides the state; everyone has a side, and it's a challenging rivalry that impacts recruiting and team dynamics.
Brent Vigen Reflects on Montana State’s National Title Run
Q: How much did the win on the road at Montana, right before the postseason start, kind of give you the confidence to win tight and late game situations?
It was huge for our confidence, especially given the hostile environment and high stakes of that game, and it showed the team's poised nature despite challenges.
