In a world where it’s hard to get authentic sports talk., these guys deliver. It’s become my favorite sports show and is incredibly enjoyable. You can tell these guys care deeply about what they do and the listening experience is second to none.

  • Kudos and Suggestion

Really miss the good ol days when Smoaky regularly interviewed high school coaches and players throughout the Central Texas area and coverage of high school football in general. Your coverage of Baylor football is exemplary and peerless, but listening to the high school coaches and how they develop young men on and off the field was inspiring to me as a fan. Coverage of college football teams outside the Big 12, not so much. Wish you would reconsider for the 2023 football season.

Willie Fritz on establishing his culture in the NIL and Transfer Portal era
Q: What are your thoughts on what you'd like to see moving forward in the off-season for your program?
I want a balanced, structured off-season that emphasizes strength, conditioning, and development while adapting to the transfer dynamics; maintaining a consistent routine and culture is critical as we adjust calendars and windows.
Willie Fritz on establishing his culture in the NIL and Transfer Portal era
Q: How has NIL impacted recruiting versus relationships with the recruits?
NIL has significantly affected how we recruit, shifting some weight toward fundraising and broadening involvement from donors, but it's not the sole driver; building genuine relationships and fit for the program remains essential.
Rick Neuheisel Finds Joy Coaching Again in the Purest Form of Football
Q: How much of an itch was there to scratch for the years you were not coaching, and what drew you back into coaching now?
He discusses having an ongoing connection to the game, the appeal of being around players again, and the unique opportunities the UFL provided that align with his coaching philosophy and desire to develop players.

Q: What do you specifically look for when evaluating NFL combine prospects?
Bill Jones explains that measurables like 40 times, verticals, and explosion metrics help narrow down players; tape and on-field performance remain essential, but combine data gives a head start for projecting NFL potential.
Craig Ludwig Breaks Down USA Hockeys Defining Olympic Moment
Q: How do you do that?
I think you put it under the category of a desperation save, but he probably made that save on lesser talented players in practice.
