  • Stellar! 7 Stars!

By far the best podcaster in Canada. I’ve downloaded every SNP podcast and attended the Cornerstone Event in 2025 and 2026. Awesome all around! Shaun must be a hard driven perfectionist considering his outcomes!

  • Shaun has developed a very interesting community of listeners as he interviews many expert guests on worldwide issues, and from time to time adding more local Canadian/Provincial issues.

He has helped me add to my knowledge level on many issues and he continues to hone his skills, becoming a better interviewer as time goes on.

He has created an annual physical event where many of his guests are invited to speak to the community that has been created.

    Worth a listen!

Overall I like the guests, topics, hosts, content, everything. However in order to listen to this one must ffwd to minute 6 to avoid the most cringeworthy, repetitive and painful intro phase. It isn’t just the name dropping, the banter about the endless studio, it just stretches on into eternity every time, one has to wonder if the host actually listens to the show and endures the torment of his own 6 minutes. So 4 star, please drop that 6 and get right into it.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#1102 - Jocelyn Burzuik
Q: What role does Indigenous governance play in possible Western separation?
Indigenous rights and treaties are foundational to any path forward; real progress requires meaningful consultation, recognition of treaties, and a design that aligns with charter rights while considering self-government and regional development.
#1102 - Jocelyn Burzuik
Q: Do you think Western provinces should pursue self-determination?
Self-determination is a human right, and if people in Alberta or any Western province vote to pursue it, that outcome should be respected, provided there is transparent consultation with Indigenous groups and a viable path that protects rights and governance structures.
#1102 - Jocelyn Burzuik
Q: What do you mean by a 'limited hangout' in the independence debate?
I mean that certain influencers and organizers are steering conversations in ways that highlight select issues while stifling broader discussion, effectively masking the full complexity of independence with emotionally charged topics and manufactured controversies.
Mashup 215
Q: Next week, will Shaun be considered a temporary foreign worker?
The hosts note that Shaun has historically been considered temporary in conversation, but no formal policy change is stated; the question is treated as a running joke rather than a concrete policy decision.
Mashup 216
Q: What are you up to after this?
Jim describes a busy day cutting grass at the campground and coordinating veterans' events, with plans to stay engaged and provide weekly updates.
