By far the best podcaster in Canada. I’ve downloaded every SNP podcast and attended the Cornerstone Event in 2025 and 2026. Awesome all around! Shaun must be a hard driven perfectionist considering his outcomes!
Thoughtful discussion on things that matter today.
Shaun has developed a very interesting community of listeners as he interviews many expert guests on worldwide issues, and from time to time adding more local Canadian/Provincial issues.
He has helped me add to my knowledge level on many issues and he continues to hone his skills, becoming a better interviewer as time goes on.
He has created an annual physical event where many of his guests are invited to speak to the community that has been created.
Worth a listen!
Thoroughly enjoy this podcast…laugh that they‘ve given this an “explicit” rating!? Yeah….explicit truth!
Overall I like the guests, topics, hosts, content, everything. However in order to listen to this one must ffwd to minute 6 to avoid the most cringeworthy, repetitive and painful intro phase. It isn’t just the name dropping, the banter about the endless studio, it just stretches on into eternity every time, one has to wonder if the host actually listens to the show and endures the torment of his own 6 minutes. So 4 star, please drop that 6 and get right into it.

This show covers a wide range of Western Canadian issues, with a strong emphasis on Alberta politics, local governance, and national policy debates. Episodes frequently blend political analysis with cultural commentary, legal perspectives, and occasionally sports banter, all framed by a contrarian, sustainability-minded, and independence-leaning worldview. Noteworthy is the mix of guests from law, journalism, policy advocacy, and niche tech/privacy spaces, plus recurring roundtable dynamics that mix sharp critique with informal banter. Listeners who want hard-hitting takes on governance, regional autonomy, and policy trade-offs—along with occasional deep dives into geopolitics or privacy tech—are likely to find this appealing.
