Overall I like the guests, topics, hosts, content, everything. However in order to listen to this one must ffwd to minute 6 to avoid the most cringeworthy, repetitive and painful intro phase. It isn’t just the name dropping, the banter about the endless studio, it just stretches on into eternity every time, one has to wonder if the host actually listens to the show and endures the torment of his own 6 minutes. So 4 star, please drop that 6 and get right into it.

SNP has been a regular in my feed for quite a while. You are consistently bringing on guests who are fascinating to me and I enjoy your style.

When I read This Present Darkness as a teen, it was perspective-rocking and it was so amazing to listen to you discuss it, then you INTERVIEWED Peretti?!?! Well done.

Thank you for showcasing Watoto, too! Love them 🫶

#1016 - Alex Voss
Q: What exactly is Tipolis aiming to do and how would it work in practice?
Tipolis would acquire land, develop it, and create a city governed by a private operator under a contractual framework, with limited but explicit government delegation, arbitration in international fora, and a unique legal system to govern life, liberty, and property within the city.
#1016 - Alex Voss
Q: When did you start considering these ideas and what shaped your view?
Alex explains his background in finance, exposure to Austrian and Chicago school economics, and how these perspectives seeded a belief in market-based governance and private sector incentives influencing city development.
#1017 - Fr. Emmanuel Lemelson
Q: How did you come to Orthodoxy and what shaped your path?
The guest describes a personal awakening sparked by a Catholic priest who influenced him, followed by a return to Orthodox faith, a powerful calling to priesthood, and a long journey through education and seminary that solidified his path.
#1017 - Fr. Emmanuel Lemelson
Q: What is Orthodoxy compared to Catholicism?
Orthodoxy is understood as correct teaching and unity with the original tradition, emphasizing the balance between monastic celibacy and married clergy, and highlighting the importance of Holy Tradition and the original Greek roots of early Christianity.
#1018 - Greg Treat
Q: Walk me through the concept of family culture and the practical, repeatable steps legacy families use to succeed across generations.
Treat explains the idea of a trustee family evolving into domestic and then atomistic families, stressing repeatable actions like intentional development of family members, aligned values, and structured, trust-based arrangements rather than over-reliance on banks or government subsidies to sustain wealth across generations.
