It can be hard to find websites and podcasts and such online that are counter to the abundance of neoliberal approaches to ADHD.

But I started with Jesse Meadows and am finding such a wonderful “community of loose ties” (great peer reviewed article about that being ideal for adhd ppl to seek out in one of those databases) and now ... more

  • This is IT!

As an Intimacy Professional, I feel like Mia has created a podcast that stimulates the exact reasons I got into this work - finding a deeper understanding of relationships and how people work together to take on sensitive material. In this case, the sensitive material they seem to deal most with is LIFE!! But they also dabble in other favorite topics like intimacy, storytelling, relationships, sex and more ;) Take a listen to this podcast, I was hooked by the first episode.

  • Leveling up with Share the Load

Mia’s podcast is some damn yummy brain food. They are so relaxed and make the interview/discussions with their guests so inviting and casual but each one has some great epiphany moments. I feel like I’m learning with them and it makes me feel involved in the process. Well done and keep at it!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Consent + DNVC with Meenadchi
Q: Can you explain what NBC is to you and Non-Violent Communication and how your approach differs from the original book?
Meenadchi describes NBC as a framework that was revised into DNVC, emphasizing listening to the body, authentic voice, and addressing systemic oppression; the approach shifts away from traditional binary notions of consent toward a more nuanced, relational, and capacity-aware practice.
Mia interviews Kai Cheng Thom on What Consent Is Not
Q: Can you define consent and then explain what it is not?
Consent is a dynamic, embodied practice that grows from an empowered voice and ongoing communication, not a one-time yes or no nor a rigid contract; it should expand space for mutual desire and self-agency while recognizing that understanding can be imperfect and context-dependent.
Andis Solomon on Polyamory, Communication, and Turning Consent into dirty talk
Q: What work goes into communicating boundaries and consent in polyamory?
It starts with self-awareness and emotional intelligence, then translating that into open, ongoing conversations with partners about desires, boundaries, and consequences.
Andis Solomon on Polyamory, Communication, and Turning Consent into dirty talk
Q: How did you learn to make consent hot?
By embracing taboo topics and practicing asking direct questions; it becomes a shared exploration that builds anticipation and clarity between partners.
Mia interviews jo + bahar on Kink, BDSM, and Creativity
Q: What have you learned about yourself that has perhaps surprised you through kink and BDSM exploration and play?
Many discover unexpected aspects of their personality, such as playfulness and creativity in what they find sexy.
