  • Definitely recommend listening to Manoj

I loved Manoj's approach of business, marketing & cybersecurity.

Obviously, not enough people think or care about cybersecurity. But we can feel how Manoj is not about fear-mongering and much more about education, thought leadership, and genuinely helping the industry with applicable insights.

Definitely the company to go to for your cybersecurity needs!

  • Lots of good insights into the world of Cybersecurity. Many people starting out in Cyber would not be able to talk to the CEO or CISO and ask them about how they started out in cyber and what they think of cyber events happening today. Manoj is a great host and truly asks great questions to pick the mind of these Cybersecurity professionals.

S19 E02 What the U.S.–Saudi Relationship Means for Cybersecurity
Q: What opportunities do you see for US companies in Saudi Arabia's evolving tech landscape?
There are substantial chances for manufacturing presence, software development bases, and AI-driven innovations, supported by a regulatory framework and government initiatives that encourage foreign investment and joint ventures between the US and Saudi entities.
S19 E02 What the U.S.–Saudi Relationship Means for Cybersecurity
Q: How do you balance convenience with security in different industries, like healthcare, universities, and defense?
You tailor access and containment to the daily work needs, limit access by job role, implement strict data handling for sensitive environments, and insist on strong backups and auditable policies to balance usability with risk management.
S19 E02 What the U.S.–Saudi Relationship Means for Cybersecurity
Q: What lessons from your signals intelligence background have you applied to the civilian cybersecurity world?
The shift from defense to offense taught me to assume threats are real and to design systems that anticipate exploitation, with emphasis on controlled access, rapid detection, and disciplined governance rather than assuming attackers won't get in.
S19 E0 How Hackers Exploit Hidden Vulnerabilities
Q: What foundational skills should aspiring security researchers focus on?
A strong base in operating system internals, Windows internals, cryptography, and programming (C/C++ and assembly) is crucial, as these areas reveal how software works under the hood and how attackers exploit it.
S19 E0 How Hackers Exploit Hidden Vulnerabilities
Q: How important is attacker mindset in building defenses, and how can defenders cultivate it?
Defenders benefit from adopting red-team perspectives to simulate threat actor thinking, but the core is understanding the decision-making processes of users and attackers alike, which helps shape awareness and safer workflows.
