Because of the auto noise gate, the first syllable or word of a person talking is often missing. Solution? Try turning off the noise gate - it isn’t needed.
Hilarious hosts with great chemistry. Great film talk with some fantastically atrocious films (how can you say no to Saturday the 14th Strikes Back?).
The execution of this podcast is excellent; not merely poking fun at poorly made movies but examining them through a modern perspective and intentionally searching for redeeming values? I think it's brilliant. The real brilliance of the show, I find, is the chemistry between the hosts. What makes almost all of the material work is the way the hosts work with each other. Jokes that are in danger of running too long by one are nipped by the other, for example. Smart criticism and smart execution.
Tom and Ryan do a fantastic job of breaking down old B-movies, viewing them through a modern critical eye, and hilariously tearing them apart. There are also some fantastic film history lessons to be learned as the break down the history of each "gem" they watch. Highest recommendation.
Great podcast, the guys have very good chemistry.
