  • Wonderful insights to TTRPG gaming

I’m still a fairly new player of TTRPGS. And one thing I love is to dive into the history of my hobbies. I found Save for Half when I was looking up information on a game in 2020, and haven’t stopped listening since. It’s great to hear the DMs discuss their experiences in gaming and listen to their insights on the system they’re reviewing.

  • The greatest OSR review podcast

Rising from the ashes of Save or Die, an intelligent, insightful and frequently funny review of old school games and the modern games inspired by them.

  • Great OSR-ish podcast!

I follow a half-dozen RPG podcasts but just discovered this one, and have already listened to five episodes in three days. I love the mix of personalities and viewpoints, but they don’t overwhelm the listener with inside jokes and idle chit chat that are common in too many podcasts.

  • Keep em coming!

I love the review format and discussion on various games. Especially OSR related products. How about Lamentations of the Flame Princess? Godbound or Stars without Number? Or Old School Essentials (when it ships in October)?

Would be 5 stars if the discussion wasn’t constantly derailed by random bad jokes. But this is likely just personal preference.
