It’s hard to cut through some of the mythologizing that comes with ultrarunning, the cult of personality and self-centered Ness that doesn’t leave room for others to join in. Gagz he’s offering his story and amplifying so many others that we need to hear as runners and more importantly as fellow humans. Each episode is a little blessing, grace humility and encouragement to go out and put in some extra miles. More importantly, to make sure I smile and offer kindness to everyone on the trail.
When I was a kid I never thought I would become a runner or even finish a marathon.
Once weighting in at 400lbs I know what its like not being able to run.
Be positive, dream big, and keep showing up!!!!!!!! and listening to Gagz of course!
Great podcast and very inspiring. I listen to it on my runs and just think how much i want to be you and do what you do.
No matter where you lie on the Running spectrum (new, experienced athlete, ultra runner, etc.) I’d recommend giving it a listen. It’s a great introduction to the Running community & the different people that are a part of it.
Gagz facilitates an engaging dialogue with guests as if he is a seasoned pro; & somehow makes a podcast about Running not feel dry like you might assume a podcast about Running should be. If this is only Season 1, I can’t wait to hear what’s to come.
I’m a fairly new runner and I find that this pod has been great for helping me set new goals and generally feel inspired to keep running
