  • We’re NOT Alone

I have a 31 year old son with multiple disabilities. I was a single dad raising him when I met my current wife and she embraced him like he was her own. I wish this organization was around when he was younger. Amazing stories and testimonies.

  • Encouragement

I have a son with special needs and medical needs. This podcast has been such a blessing and encouragement to me. Always reminding me to look for ways to see the goodness of our God even when life doesn’t look the way I thought it would. It is so encouraging to see others walking down a similar road and still living for the Lord and glorifying Him in the joy and in the sorrow. Thank you!

Jayne Gautreau: What I Know Now I Wish I Knew Then
Q: Now that you're further along, what have you learned in terms of how to manage family dynamics, especially between you and your husband during this journey?
I realized that I kind of saw it as my mission instead of our mission, I took it on myself instead of consulting him.
Jayne Gautreau: What I Know Now I Wish I Knew Then
Q: What was the reaction like with your family and friends once you got the diagnosis?
My husband didn't really seem to want to talk about it very much... My parents live in Ireland and it was very hard for my mom being so far away, because she really didn't know what she could do to support me at the time.
Jayne Gautreau: What I Know Now I Wish I Knew Then
Q: Is there anything that you see that you're like, oh, I would have done this differently?
I think that I would have not, well, how do I say this? I think looking back, I had a lot of probably guilt.
