  • One of my favorites!

I consume lots of podcasts, Casey’s show is by far one of my favorites. this is not only because of the guests he has on but also because of his question asking skills. He is able to build an environment with his guest that from a listeners perspective, seems as if we are all hanging out together. He makes the listener feel like they are a part of the conversation and in the same room. I finish every episode more motivated, with more knowledge, and more optimistic about the possibilities of my f... more

  • High level conversations

A podcast is only as good as it’s host, the guest is an added bonus but if the host can’t ask good questions, hasn’t achieved a level of success in their own life, or isn’t on the same wavelength as the guest it’s not going to be a good podcast. Casey consistently asks intelligent questions, does the research on his guests, and is a great human being all around. Highly recommend this show!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Zack Abbott — Co-Founder & CEO of ZBiotics: Building the World's First Genetically Engineered Probiotic
Q: What growth factors aided consumer education and adoption in the first decade?
Key factors included balancing science with accessibility, using explainer videos to translate complex biology into digestible benefits, and actively handing out samples across events to test, learn, and iterate on messaging about why the product works.
Zack Abbott — Co-Founder & CEO of ZBiotics: Building the World's First Genetically Engineered Probiotic
Q: Why the pre-drink approach, and how did the product design address common objections?
The pre-drink approach is necessary for the probiotic to work because the enzyme needs to be present during alcohol metabolism. They designed packaging, dosing, and messaging to combat skepticism and to avoid a 'pillage of pills' perception, framing it as a responsible, intentional lifestyle choice rather than a simple hydration solution.
Zack Abbott — Co-Founder & CEO of ZBiotics: Building the World's First Genetically Engineered Probiotic
Q: What is ZBiotics and where did the journey start for you and the team?
ZBiotics makes genetically engineered probiotics. Abbott explains how they began with curiosity about safe, edible bacteria, moved into engineering a probiotic that could break down acetaldehyde, the toxic byproduct of alcohol, and chose to build a consumer product around this mechanism after discovering the potential to help people feel better the next day.
Joel Kocher: CEO and Co-Founder of Humann on The Super Molecule: Nitric Oxide's Life-Changing Impact
Q: What gave you the conviction to productize nitric oxide and bring Humann to life?
A strong conviction, spotting an opportunity where others didn't, and seeing a real, science-backed need in cardiovascular health. The Nobel Prize–backed science around nitric oxide presented a chance to make a meaningful impact at scale, which aligned with my mission-driven mindset.
Ryan Steelberg – CEO of Veritone on Harnessing AI to Transform Media and Business
Q: What are some core lessons that have been consistent through your journey that you'd want to tell young founders?
Have a partner, manage capital effectively, and be a maniacal optimist.
