Riders Radio Theater was a half hour, weekly, cult favorite/public radio show performed live by the two-time Grammy Award-winning western and comedy band Riders In The Sky in Nashville and Cincinnati from 1988-1995. Called at the time "the fastest half hour in radio," each show featured western music, wacky commercials, the National Polka Countdown, characters and comedy bits of all sizes and desc... more

A bleak and unhappy Christmas spirit has descended upon our peaceful and bucolic Valley. Nowhere is there joy and laughter, nowhere except in the rank and dimly lit backroom of the Dry Gulch Saloon. Thanks to a devious transaction scheme that has lef... more

Oh how I wish I had moved to Cincinnati a couple years earlier so I could've seen this live! My dad used to be in a cowboy band like this. I love the music and humor. Just like my mom, I love Roy Rogers! We became fans of Riders In The Sky during our kids' "Toy Story" years. Their CD was on repeat in our minivan.
I attended the live tapings years and years ago at the Tennessee Performance Arts Center. Really looking forward to hearing them again and hearing later ones on long desert drives in Southern Arizona!
I’m so happy to have finally found one of my all-time favorite shows on podcast. I’ve been a card carrying Saddle Pal for over twenty years but none of my local stations carry the show anymore. I thought all hope was lost and then I stumbled across the podcast today. I can’t wait to listen to all the past episodes and catch up on what the Riders have been up to. Everyday the Cowboy Way!
Great music, great humor, great characters. Love this show. I look forward to hearing the podcast each week.
saw them live in cincinnati at the emory theater and faithfully listened to the radio theater. Nice to have happy, non-murdery, non-social justice warriory, non-preachy entertainment. plus they are great musicians !
